Burning Man 2022
📍Spirit Matters
I had the privilege of collaborating on the construction and stocking of Spirit Matter's kitchen, where we nourished over 160 individuals from our villa for more than 7 days, including the Black Burner Project, Vertical Camp, fellow artists, and visitors.
Additionally, I created a Japanese omakase experience called Requetesuperguapa within an empty truck container, featuring Chef Kristof Czartoryski's sashimi and the finest sake.
And, of course, I endured Black Rock City's extreme weather for 14 days, from build to strike, all while passing kidney stones. 🤘🏽
Burning Man 2024 & 2025
📍La Calaca with Las Brujas
La Calaca is a village consisting of four camps: Axolotl, Las Brujas, Friendly Society, and Opera. I have had the honor of camping with Las Brujas since 2024, where I go through the full cycle: prep, build, party, strike, and store. In this beautiful villa I learned that surviving in the desert is only possible through ego death, community, and a thousand ratchets straps.
In Brujas, I am part of the Body Crew, the team that feeds over 150 people from our village with restaurant-quality dinners. We start collectively prepping these meals in Reno days before the event. I also assist with the general construction of our camp, including a huge shade structure, kitchen/dining tarps, and two domes where the Spirit Crew offer healing sessions to Burning Man attendees.
Additionally, I volunteer to lead the painstaking organization of everything from the kitchen trailer and reefer to the operations truck, where we store all the necessary gear and tools the Mind Crew needs to build a camp for over 80 people.
